DREAM INTO THE VOID is a tarot based card game system for 1 to 6 players that offers divination through a dream via strategic sequencing and puzzle solving.

Complete your VISION BRIDGE before your opponent

The goal of this game is to reveal 21 before your opponent does.

Included in your game box is a complete 78 card tarot deck marked with values, actions, and intents.

Your VISION BRIDGE at end of game reflects a traditional tarot three card spread, with the first card representing

your past [[[MIND]]],

the second representing your present [[[BODY]]],

and the third card representing your future [[[SPIRIT]]].

✦ GAME SETUP ✦

  1. Deal each player THIRTEEN (13) facedown cards; this is their deck.

  2. Each player places THREE (3) facedown cards in front of them; this is their VISION BRIDGE.

  3. Players start with ZERO (0) cards in their discard pile.

  4. Each player then draws THREE (3) cards to begin the game. Players may look at their hand.

HOW TO PLAY

Each card contains critical information towards your success. Take note.

✦ ROUNDS ✦

Opening Statement:

  • Players simultaneously reveal a card from their hand.

  • The player with the lowest value card goes first, followed by ascending card values.

On Your Turn:

  • Play a card face up from your hand to either your VISION BRIDGE or as a curse on another player’s VISION BRIDGE.

  • Playing cards to your VISION BRIDGE adds to your score, while playing cards as a curse subtracts from the cursed player's score.

  • When a card appears face up on their VISION BRIDGE, the player takes the action of the card.

Clean-Up:

  • After all players have taken their turn for the round, players must sacrifice cards on their VISION BRIDGE down to three cards and discard cards from their hand to three cards.

  • If no player has a winning VISION BRIDGE, each player draws a card and a new round begins.

After clean up, if any player has a score of 21 and no hidden cards on their VISION BRIDGE, they've won the game. If any player has a score over 21 after clean up, they've BUSTED and are out of the game

When a player is unable to draw a card from their deck because they have no cards left, the game is called at that moment, and the player with the highest score wins.

TO NOTE:

In the case of ties when revealing cards to determine turn order, all tied players skip their turn, and the tied cards are removed from the game.

A player can only carry two curses at any given time.

If a player carries two curses on their VISION BRIDGE, they cannot be cursed further.

Players may interact with curses via actions.

Curses are played sideways above a player’s VISION BRIDGE.

To win DREAM INTO THE VOID, you must have all cards on your vision bridged revealed and a total score of 21.

PLAYER ONE

Playing alone? You're in luck. You get to challenge the MACHINE, a faceless inversion that simulates luck with ruthless efficiency. The MACHINE, represented by the remaining 65 card deck, follows strict rules in prioritizing its actions. It plays the top card of its library at any opportunity it can, such as during the Opening Statement or TURN ACTION, as long as there are no conflicting MACHINE Commands. Its primary command is to curse you, subtracting points from your score. If it cannot curse you, its secondary command is to play a card to its bridge. The MACHINE does not participate in card actions and only monitors the score. At cleanup, the oldest card on its bridge is sacrificed according to its programming. The MACHINE can BUST, and IT WILL.
